Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program For Care Navigation
The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO Program For Care Navigation empowers care navigators to deliver high-quality, person-centered care through interactive virtual learning.
Each session is led by a team of multidisciplinary experts from leading dementia care models and features a brief lesson on a specific aspect of dementia care management, followed by a case-based discussion. Participants present real-world cases related to the weekly topic, fostering collaborative problem-solving and peer learning.

ADC ECHO Program
The Alzheimer’s Association has partnered with the UCLA ADC Program to present an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care ECHO series. Cohorts will meet for 1 hour every 2 weeks, reviewing 1 of 12 topics in each session. In addition to hearing short lectures on key dementia care topics, participating organizations will have the opportunity to present a case and receive feedback on de-identified patients living with dementia. This series is offered at no cost. Up to 12 free CMEs are available for participation.

In 2021, The Association offered a new ECHO opportunity to enhance a practice’s skills for dementia care management using case-based learning. They partnered with the UCLA Alzheimer's and Dementia Care (ADC) program on an ECHO series that adds the knowledge and skills of the highly effective UCLA ADC program. The Association hosted the series, with Dr. Leslie Evertson and Dr. David Reuben, serving as the lead faculty. In addition to hearing short lectures about key dementia care topics, organizations had the opportunity to present and receive feedback on de-identified patients who are living with dementia. During that year, The Association offered two cohorts to allow multiple sites the opportunity to participate.
Summer of 2022, UCLA participated in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Project ECHO Inland Empire telehealth series to present ADC-related topics. The target of this series was Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other community-based healthcare providers who serve areas where economic, geographic, or cultural barriers limit access to affordable healthcare services.
